Bjarmó is a charming newly opened guesthouse in the heart of Akureyri. The house was drawn and built by my grandfather 70 years ago and has been owned by the same family ever since.  The guesthouse is a homely accommodation with a welcoming atmosphere and a family friendly attitude.

The location is great; close to everything you need, 5 minutes walking distance to the outdoor swimming pool and the main shopping street, which includes small shops, restaurants, bars, cafes and the public library just around the corner.

The botanical garden and the shopping mall are also 10 minutes walking distance away.

Akureyri offers free city bus, but you probably won´t need it much because at Bjarmó you are almost right in the centre of town.

There are two bathrooms to share, one on each floor, a lounge on the ground floor and a fully equipped kitchen, where guests can make their own breakfast, lunch or dinner.

Ten people can stay at Bjarmó in 5 rooms with double, twin or single beds.  Bed linens, sheets and towels are included.

The owners live in the house so the guests can contact them during their stay if they have questions and they will try to make the stay in Akureyri as enjoyable as possible.

Please notice that smoking is not allowed in the house or on the grounds and pets are not allowed.
