Amts -Café Ilmur, is located in the Amtsbokasafn, the Akureyri town library, Brekkugotu 17. Hours of operation are from 10:00 to 17:30 Mondays through Fridays. During the winter season it is also open on Saturdays from 11:00 to 15:30.

Bláa kannan café is situated in the centre of town and opens its doors in the morning with the offer of newly baked bread.

Brauðbúðin café offers new baked bread and cakes and some light meals.

The restaurant Brekka is open daily from 15.th of May till 15.th of September.  At other times open upon agreement - but notice that advance booking is needed during off-season.

The Brugghúsbar is a small but cosy bar in the center of town. It main focus is on beer, brewn locally by the Brewery Kaldi, as well as on a big selection on strong alcohol, coffee and soda.

Bögglageymslan is a beer and a whisky bar in the cellar of the restaurant Rub 23. The bar is open Wednesday- and Thursday evenings from 20.00 and Fiday- and Saturday evenings from 18.00.

Götubarinn Bar (The Street Bar) is a charming bar in the centre of Akureyri. The interiors and the basic look make a reference to the old Akureyri. Götubarinn has a big selection of beers.

Ísbúðin Akureyri is a brand new elegant ice cream and coffee shop in the heart of the town.

Kaffi Akureyri café is located at Akureyri center.

Kaffi Jónsson café serves coffee, cakes and lightmeals and special ice menu.

The restaurant is located in the loft area above the cow barn at Garður farm.

Café Költ is located in the centre of the town. They offer homemade delicacies such as cakes, cookies, grilled Panini, egg sandwiches and much more. On weekdays they offer soups with freshly baked bread. A good selection of coffee, real hot chocolate and wide range of beer.

Kaffi Torg Café is locatied at Glerártorg shoppingmall.

Kristjánskaffi Conditori offers new baked bread and cakes and light meals. Locatied in the same building as Bónus supermarket.
