Choose the season you intend to visit Akureyri and find a list with ideas of activities and opening hours in museums, shops ect.. At least four different seasons are presented: Summer, Winter, Christmas & New Year and Easter.

Akureyri offers good conditions for bicycling. You find many paths and trails to bike along within the town as well as in the surrounding areas as the recreational area Kjarnaskogur

Boat tours and sea angling is offered with the boat Húni II, departing from the harbour by the town center. 

The bowling "Keilan Akureyri" has eight rinks. Opening hours: Monday till Saturday 11.00 - 23.30 and Sundays 11.00 - 22.00.
