Amts-Café is situated in the new building of the Municipal Library of Akureyri. Hot meals are offered during lunch, between 11:30-14:00, and they are of many varieties. You can also have a salad, pies and many interesting delicacies for a reasonable price, along with coffee and hot cocoa.

The Bautinn Restaurant is situated right in the heart of Akureyri on the corner of Hafnarstræti and Kaupvangsstræti. The building itself is one of the oldest and most beautiful in Akureyri.

The restaurant Brekka  is open daily from 15.th of May till 15.th of September.  At other times open upon agreement – but notice that they need some advance during off-season.

The aim of the Greifinn Restaurant has been, from the start, to provide a varied menu where everyone can find a meal to his or her liking and to follow the American idea that service should be both fast and good.

Rósagarðurinn Restaurant at the KEA Hotel offers a varied menu and an extensive choice of good wine.

This café restaurant is actually two establishments in the same building in Akureyri´s Listagil. One of these is the Karolína café and the other the Karolína restaurant.

Strikið, brasserie restaurant, was opened on the 20th of Desember 2005 at the location of the former "Fiddler on the roof".
