Amts-Café is situated in the new building of the Municipal Library of Akureyri. Hot meals are offered during lunch, between 11:30-14:00, and they are of many varieties. You can also have a salad, pies and many interesting delicacies for a reasonable price, along with coffee and hot cocoa. Opening hours are 10:00-17:00 every Monday through Friday. The head chef is Sardar, a very experienced chef. For groups it is recommended to order tables with few days' notice.
While you're having a drink or something to eat, you can also read the latest newspapers and magazines. Amts-Café is therefore a nurturer for the body and mind.
