Þingmannahnjúkur hill on Vaðlaheiði mountain.

We drive to Eyrarland farm east of river Eyjafjarðará and walk along the old route Þingmannavegur up the mountain slope to a prominent hill, Þingmannahnjúkur, at the western edge of Vaðlaheiði mountain. If conditions permit, we might walk up to Leifsstaðafjall mountain as well. Total distance: 8 km, vertical ascent: 680 m.
