Walk from the far of Dagverdartunga in Hörgársveit south of Fornhagagil. Then along Úlfá and Tungudalsá into Ytri-Tungudal to Dyngjuhnjúk. There you go north over Tungudalsá and head up to Dýjafjallshnjúk. The same way back. If it looks like you need special equipment such as spikes, the tour guide will let you know in good time.
