Waterfall tour in Bárðardal

Drive to Bárðardal from the east, down by Stórutunga, to the parking lot at Aldeyjarfoss where cars are parked. Walk up an old riverbed in spectacular surroundings. Go past sigils and rock formations that require some agility and flexibility. Continue south along Skjálfandafljót to Ingvararfoss and walk along the river to Aldeyjarfoss. If weather and time permit, you can walk/drive to Hrafnabjargafossur. A rather easy and short walk that takes about 2 hours. Insignificant walking increase.
