Weekend trip to Herðubreid

FFA's annual trip to the national mountain Herðubreid (1682 m). Stay in Herðubreiðarlind, in the FFA cabin or in a tent. It is necessary to be on jeeps to reach the ascent of Herðubreid. A helmet is essential safety equipment. If other equipment is necessary, the tour guide will let you know before the trip starts.

1.d., Friday: Set off from Akureyri at 17. Drive to Herðubreiðarlindir, spend the night there.

2.d., Saturday: Walk to Herðubreid. Stayed another night in Herðubreiðarlind.

3.d., Sunday: Go home. It is expected to arrive in Akureyri later in the day.
