Húsavík - Botnsvatn

Drive to Húsavík, cars parked at the east end of the sports field. You walk along a footpath that runs in the blue mountain, Húsavíkurfjall. Walk up to Botnsvatn and circle around the lake along a comfortable footpath. From there, the path leads down the river and through Skrúdgarðin. A very beautiful route. The walk takes 2-3 hours.The restaurant Naustið welcomes the group at 18:00 with unexpected dishes and we aim to arrive at Sjóbáðin at 20. Set off home at 22.
