On the occasion of the children's cultural festival in Akureyri, there will be Lego Day at Amtsbókasafnið on April 6, 2024 from 1-3 p.m.

 

At the library cafeteria, Jón Aðalsteinn, a teacher at Lundarskóli, is going to let the kids see and test the school's technology lego sets.

 

In the children's department, it will be available to build works of art from lego blocks.
The artworks can be registered in a competition and they will be on display in the central space of the library until the end of April. Visitors to the library have the opportunity to vote for their favorite work of art. The owner of the artwork that wins the election will receive a lego box as a prize.

 

The project is funded by Akureyri's children's culture fund.
