The inhabitants of Grímsey, celebrate the summer solstice around 20th June each year with a festival, offering visitors a chance to participate in the celebrations.

The inhabitants of Grímsey, Iceland’s northernmost inhabited island and the only part of the country that lies above the Arctic Circle, celebrates the summer solstice the days surrounding 20th of June with a family festival, offering visitors a chance to participate in the celebrations.

In 2024 the Solstice Festival in Grímsey will be held 21st to 23rd of June
