Staðartunguháls to Hraun in Öxnadal

Departure at 8:30 in privat car from Þelamerkur skóla.
Hike up Staðartunguhálsinn and then along the mountain ridge/neck that separates Hörgárdalur and Öxnadalur.
On the way there is a beautiful view of the mountains on both sides and up into the two valleys. The walk ends at Hraun in Öxnadal, but some cars have to be left there at the beginning of the journey to bring drivers back to the starting point.
Distance: 13-14 km.
A hike of about 600 m.
