After a peaceful and tranquil weather before and around Christmas the weather has changed. Everything is now wrapped up in a fluffy white snow – offering great adventure to those who love snow and winter activities. The ski centre in Mt. Hlíðarfjall, above the town, has been open since 18th December and the Cross-Country trails in Kjarnaskógur woods are groomed and offering great conditions in a fairy-tale like surroundings.
