These special clouds called Nacreous clouds (or mother of pearl clouds) have been seen quite frequently lately. These are polar stratospheric clouds occurring in the stratosphere shortly after sunset in regions near the Arctic Circle. The rare meteorological phenomenon, mostly limited to polar regions, is identified by its unique display of iridescent colors and patterns.
