When you arrive in Akureyri, you can travel free of charge on all city buses within the town.
The bus schedule runs from 6:28 a.m. to 10:55 p.m. on weekdays, and from 12:18 p.m. to 6:55 p.m. on weekends.

All city bus routes operate in loops that start and end at the main stop in the town center ("Miðbær"), located near the town square and the taxi station.
Each loop takes approximately 30 to 50 minutes, depending on the route.
