Gusthnjúkur in Skagafjörður is on Höfðaströnd above the town of Vatn and boasts a very beautiful view. It is 590 m high. From the hill you can see the pearls of Skagafjörður, Þórðarhöfða, Höfðavatn and Málmey. From there you can also see Tindastól and Skaga, and it is not unlikely that the Strandafjöllin can be seen in good visibility. The path to the mountain is gentle and the hiking is nice, but at the top the path is rocky and steep.
