Prostitution has not been a topic of discussion for a short time, as it has always been accompanied by shame and shame. Victims of prostitution struggle with complex and serious consequences of prostitution, horrific memories and life experiences that can be difficult to live with. Prostitution is illegal in Iceland and is considered a sexual offense according to Icelandic law.

According to the police and victims of prostitution, the demand for prostitution is huge in this country. It is therefore important to talk openly about prostitution, both on a societal basis, and no less how to deal with victims of prostitution with understanding and humanity.
