Karina Meedom is an educated visual artist who works with both paintings and abstract cross-stitch. At the exhibition in Rösk Rými, she will be showcasing artwork with abstract cross-stitch. Karina often finds inspiration in Icelandic nature for her pieces.
"I work unconventionally with cross-stitch embroidery because I embroider without a pattern or a sketch. I work spontaneously, and freely. Each stitch holds meaning for the image, and it is a slow process - which is healthy for the soul."
Karina will be giving a lecture on colors in an entertaining context at 2:00 PM on Sunday.
