The works in this exhibition, paintings and a video, are the result of one year of studying painting in FBAUP in Portugal. Before that the author finished MA in art education, diploma in Fine Arts and Bed in Teaching. She works in art and teaches art in High School. She has participated in many group exhibitions and this is her 11 solo exhibition. 

When we perceive a landscape in an aesthetic way, as the bodily beings we are, it is perhaps similar to how we perceive our surroundings as a fetus in the womb. In perfect harmony with our surroundings we started gathering perceptions to our perception archive. We add layer after layer to the archive and those perceptions stay with us. The word landscape in Icelandic is „lands-leg“ and „leg“ means womb. By opening up to this way of perceiving is one way to understand better how we are a part of our ecosystem and that we are dependent on it.
