Sigurhæðir is one of the town oldest houses but also one of the newest cultural buildings in Akureyri. In 1961 the poet Davíð Stefánsson and more opened a museum about Matthías Jochumsson.

Today the house is run by Flóra culturalhouse - workshops, events and culturalprojects in the house. We walk through the house with a icelandic guidance. The visit is free.
