Poetry readings, tunes and conversation fill the living room in Davíðshús at the Little Poetry Festival. Program in icelandic.

Brynja Hjálmsdóttir won Vigdís Finnbogadóttir's and Ljóðstaf Jóns úr Vör's motivational award in 2022 for the poem Þegar dagar aldrei dagar aldrei. The book Kona lítur við (2021) was nominated for the Maístjörnuna poetry prize.  The book Okfruman (2019) won the Bookstore Staff Literature Award and was nominated for the Fjöruverðlaunanna Prize.

Kristján Hrafn Guðmundsson publishes the poem Vöggudýrabæ for this Christmas, which is a poetic discussion of women who were forced to send their children to nurseries and the children who were kept there. Kristján has previously published the collection of short stories Þrír skilnaðir og jarðaför.

Sesselía Ólafsdóttir is the current town artist of Akureyri and a true multi-artist, actress and musician, and has written numerous plays and poems. Her book Leiðsla (2021) was published in the Pastel series.

Þórarinn Hannesson has published seven books of poetry, including Nýr dagur, Um Jólin, Listaverk i leiðinni and Enn fleiri æskumyndir. Þórarin founded and runs the Íslands Poetry Center in Siglufjörður. He was Fjallabyggðar's town artist in 2013.
