There’s nothing quite like a beautiful rendition of a great poem. Poetry lovers should not miss the poetry hour with actor Arnar Jónsson in the living room of Davíðshús on Sunday, January 19, at 2:00 PM.

Arnar is one of Iceland's most beloved actors and has long been celebrated for his unique poetry performances. “A poem finds its way to its audience, and it certainly found me. Poetry discovered me at a very young age. The music of language resonates in poetry—along with thought and emotion,” says Arnar. He will recite poems that have touched him throughout his life and share stories about how they connect to his personal journey.

This event marks the beginning of the anniversary year of Davíð Stefánsson from Fagriskógur, who was born 130 years ago on January 21. Arnar also opened the centennial celebration 30 years ago.
