The inhabitants of Grímsey, Iceland’s northernmost inhabited island and the only part of the country that lies on the Arctic Circle, celebrate the summer solstice from the 21st to the 23rd of June with a family festival, offering visitors a chance to participate in the celebrations.

Opening hours and services:
Free entrance to all events except the Tapas evening, Seafood buffet, and dance. Play area for children daily.
The ferry Sæfari will sail between Dalvík and Grímsey five days a week, while Norlandair flies between Akureyri and Grímsey on Tuesdays and Sundays. An additional flight on Friday, is scheduled due to the festival.
