The musical friends, Kristjana Stefáns and Svavar Knútur, will celebrate summer with two concerts in July. It has been a lot to be with them separately and they haven't been able to hold a concert together for two years, but now it's time to make up for it and please the benefactors of this musical couple. This is therefore an ideal opportunity for those who have missed attending this famous duet concert.
Over the past decade, Kristjana and Svavar Knútur have attracted well-deserved attention for their highly entertaining duet evenings. There is both joy and funkiness with a touch of glitz, and the friends bring to the table a varied program of duets, which includes everything from Abba to Dolly Parton, with touches on the green grounds of classic Icelandic songs and neon-colored 80's hits, as well as original songs and the various joy- and tregabomba, poetry readings and comedy stories.
In 2020, they followed up the album Glæðim with a new album, called Faðmlög. The album, which was recorded at a concert, has been well received by Kristjöna and Svavar's listeners and contains many of their favorite songs, both Icelandic and foreign.
The concerts this summer will be held in Iðnó in Reykjavík on Saturday 22 July and at Græna Hattin in Akureyri on Thursday 27 July. They start promptly at 20.00 and the ticket costs ISK. 4,900
