The church in Grímsey, by the Arctic Circle was destroyed by an fire September 2022. Since then a new church is being built and it has received many good gifts. This weekend it was given a Baptismal font, made by an 95 years old carpenter in Akureyri who started the work as soon as he heard about the fire last year. Now two days after his 95 years anniversary he traveled to Grímsey with the font, to hand it over to the local community
