Harlequin ducks

Did you know that these beautiful colourfull ducks are called harlequin duck (Histrionicus histrionicus) and takes its name from a colourfully dressed character in Commedia dell'arte. Their breeding habitat is cold fast moving streams in northern areas like Iceland. They can be spotted in the river Glerá that runs through town.
