17 June 2025 Celebrations in Akureyri

Residents and visitors are encouraged to use eco-friendly transportation to and from the festival area.

Hæ hó jibbí jei!
The parade, led by the Klakkur Scout Group and the Akureyri Brass Band, departs from the Old Home Economics School on Þórunnarstræti at 12:30 and marches south to the Botanical Garden, where the official celebrations will take place. Let’s all join the parade!

Akureyri’s Flower Truck

The flower-decorated truck sets off from Naustaskóli at 11:00, driving through residential neighborhoods, down Art Street (Listagil), along Strandgata, and more—festive June 17th songs will play from the truck’s speakers.
