Summer Bus Timetable Now Available
The summer timetable for public transport is now available on Visit Akureyri. The updated schedule includes a few important changes.
Among the main updates is that there is now one daily departure between Akureyri and Reykjavík in each direction. The route between Egilsstaðir and Akureyri will depart from Egilsstaðir in the morning and from Akureyri in the afternoon.
On some departures, an additional stop has been added in Akureyri at the airport, improving access for travellers.
There is also good news for those planning to visit Hrísey island. The bus now stops close to Árskógssandur harbour, making it much easier to connect with the ferry. Previously, passengers had to walk from the main road down to the harbour.
