The National Day of Iceland was celebrated yesterday - 17th of June on a bit cloudy day.
17th of June is Iceland's independence day. Iceland gained independence from Denmark in the year 1944. The day is celebrated in Akureyri with a celebration program that started at 13.00 in the Botanical gardens took place until midnight.
