The hostel in Akureyri is centrally located next to highway no.1 and a Bonus store. It has 70 beds in 4 houses. In the main building are 18 rooms with 50 beds, some rooms have private facilities while other share bathrooms but have sink in each room, all rooms have TV. The rooms sleep 1 to 4 persons, and include bedsheets and towels. Available for guests is a kitchen with a dining room and a living room with TV and free internet. In addition there is a laundry facility with washing machine and a drier.

Outside the hostel is a leisure area with a grill, available for guests.
Please notice that smoking is not allowed.

Akureyri Youth hostel offers accommodation in three additional buildings.
Two "summerhouses" which can accommodate 6 persons each, including one double room, one room for 4 persons, a loft with two beds. These houses have their own bathroom, kitchen and TV.
Also one small cabin that accommodates 2 persons, with a toilet and a sink.
