Cosy Days (October)

Cosy Days 2026 will take place from 8–11 October. It is a weekend where friends, couples, families and colleagues can enjoy doing something fun together. There is a wide range of events to choose from, offering something to nourish the mind and warm the heart. Many shops and businesses also offer special events, activities and cosy discounts.

Cosy Days is a major supporter of the Cancer Society of Akureyri and the surrounding area.

The event is organised by shop owners, the cancer society of Akureyri with the support of the City of Akureyri. Cosy Days, originally known as “Ladies’ Cosy Days”(Dekurdagar in icelandic), were first held in 2008.

About Cosy Days

Cosy Days (Dekurdagar) is an event initiated by shop owners in Akureyri to bring life and joy to the town in October. The event is organised by their representatives, Akureyri Cancer Society and with the support of the City of Akureyri.

October is International Breast Cancer Awareness Month, which is observed around the world to raise awareness of breast cancer and support research. Cosy Days is a major supporter of the Cancer Society of Akureyri and the surrounding area, and pink is the signature colour of both the month and the event.
