Cosy Days (Dekurdagar) is an event initiated by local shop owners in Akureyri to bring life and joy to the town in October.
October is international Breast Cancer Awareness Month, dedicated to raising awareness and funds for breast cancer research. The event is a major supporter of the Akureyri Cancer Society and the surrounding area, and the color of the month—and the event—is pink.
