In summer the main ski lift in Mt. Hlíðarfjall is open Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from 2nd July to 30th August of 2020.
In Mt. Hlíðarfjall there are good Mountain bike trails and hiking tracks to the top of the Mountain offering great views of the fjord of Eyjafjörður and of the town Akureyri.
