The children's book author Jón Sveinsson, known as Nonni, was born on November 16, 1857. In honor of this, a birthday celebration will be held at his childhood home, Nonnahús, on his birthday from 12 to 2 pm.

The author Gerður Kristný will read from her own children's and youth books. Nonni's stories will be shared, and verses from Þórarinn Eldjárn’s Dótarímur will be recited. Visitors can illustrate a book or create their own book cover.

There will be gingerbread, chocolates, juice, and Christmas ale available while supplies last.
