Ásgeir finally returns to Græni Hatturinn.

Ásgeir Trausti will visit Græni Hatturinn this summer, performing both new and older material together with his band. On February 13, Ásgeir released his latest album, Julia, which has received an excellent reception around the world.

Julia is Ásgeir’s most personal work to date, as it marks the first time he has written all the lyrics himself. The result is one of his most intimate albums, with the title character Julia serving as a central theme throughout the record.

It has been nearly fifteen years since Ásgeir Trausti first emerged onto the music scene, and he has since become one of Iceland’s leading musicians. His debut album, Dýrð í dauðaþögn (2012), was a major success, selling over 40,000 copies and remaining on the Icelandic music charts for around 400 weeks. Today, the album is considered one of the best-selling records in Icelandic history.

Since then, Ásgeir has built a strong international career and performed concerts around the world.
