Drive to Dalvíkur Church where the hike begins. The trail is along a dirt road that leads to the mountain, up a beautiful canyon and on to the mouth of Tungudal. Then you walk up the mountain to the cairn that stands there. There is a great view over Dalvík, into Svarfaðardal and Skiðadal, into Eyjafjörður, out over Hrísey and all the way to Grímseyjar.
This is a short walk that is steep in parts. The same way back.
