The walk starts at the parking area below Kaupang. From there, we walk to the old bridge over the Eyjafjarðará river and continue along its riverbanks.

The route passes through the abandoned farm Kaupangsbakki, with stories shared about the area. A comfortable track is followed along the river all the way to the bridge at Hrafnagil.

At this time of year, beautiful autumn colors can be expected throughout the area. Cars need to be self-shuttled between Kaupang and the bridge at Hrafnagil.
