Dates: 8–9 August

Departure: 12:00 from the parking area at the Súlur trailhead

Guides: Ragnheiður and Sunna Ragnarsdætur

The trip starts at the parking area at the Súlur trailhead and continues through Glerárdalur to the Lambi hut, where we spend one night. The trip offers a diverse outdoor experience, including crossing small streams along the way. Lambi is a well-equipped mountain hut with oil heating and a gas stove, though drinking water must be collected from the nearby stream. In August, the evenings begin to get dark, making it a fun experience to enjoy the dusk in the mountain valley.

The hut has space for 16 people, so the number of participants is limited. Further information about the hut is available separately.

Total distance: 22 km (11 km each day)
Elevation gain: 440 m

Price and payment: Free for children; adults pay ISK 6,000 / 8,000.
A confirmation fee of ISK 1,500 per adult must be paid within two weeks of invoicing via online banking. The full payment for the trip must then be made three days before departure.
