Bjarni Ómar celebrates the release of his LP Athvarf in Græni hatturinn.
The album Athvarf marks a new chapter in Bjarni's musical career, not least because the album was released in two versions, initially with Icelandic lyrics on January 14th, but in March it was released with English lyrics under the title "Draw me" along with one extra track. The concert will feature material from the new albums mixed with older songs from previous solo albums and recent singles.
He then released the single Þú fyllir hjartað in April and in 2024 he released a bluesy version of Bubbi Morthen's song Stál og hnífur, while Bjarni participated in the Reykjavík City Theatre's show Níu líf as the so-called Alþýðububbi.
Bjarni's solo albums have received well-deserved attention, as they contain high-quality songwriting and lyrics. Bjarni's lyrics are very open and emotional, and nothing is taken away from the personal approach in both his own lyrics and those of his co-writers.
This evening will be full of fun within the best conditions at the renowned concert venue of the North, Græni hatturinn.
