We drive to Dalvík Church and leave the cars there. Roads and tracks are followed up the mountain. The final slope up Böggvisstaðafjall is fairly steep but well covered with heather and moss. Once on the mountain, we walk along the edge to a small cairn, which offers good views over Dalvík and Svarfaðardalur. Those who wish may continue further for even better views.
