Death, Maidens and Shipwreck
In this recital the "Sputtnik" String Quartet will play on instruments that are all made from a Shipwreck that went aground in 1881 in Reykjanes. Between music the luthier himself, Jón Marinó Jónsson, will about the making of the instruments and the story behind.
You will hear movements from the famous string quartet "The Death and the Maiden" as well as other pieces that are in some ways related to the theme.
