A hike starting from the farm Dagverðartunga in Hörgársveit, south of Fornhagagil.

The hike begins at Dagverðartunga in Hörgársveit, south of Fornhagagil. From there, the route follows Úlfá and Tungudalsá into Ytri-Tungudal to Dyngjuhnjúk (1,445 m). The trail then crosses north over Tungudalsá and ascends Dýjafjallshnjúk. The same route is taken back.

If special equipment such as crampons is needed, the guides will inform participants in advance.
