Chasing light and holding onto fleeting moments. The works shown at Leyni are made by Gillian using screenprinting and cyanotype to capture moments of sunshine, shadows, and emotions.
Gillian moved to Iceland in 2023 after a life as an active artist and art educator in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She is a graduate of Moore College of Art & Design (BFA) and University of Iceland (MEd). She is a member of SIM, the Art Association of Akureyri, and is on the board of the Gil Society and Deiglan. She is the art teacher at Naustaskoli, and is a founding member of Samlagið Creative Workshop, as well as a member of the Þúfa 46 collective.
