The Pride festival in North east Iceland will be held from June 18th to 22nd.

The goal of the festival is to increase the visibility of the LGBTQ+ community and build a community that is open and safe for all residents and visitors. The festival builds on the good work that has been done in Hrísey, with the first Hrísey LGBTQ Festival being held in 2023.

All municipalities in Northeastern Iceland, along with the organizations Hinsegin Nordurland and Hinsegin Hátíð í Hrísey, are responsible for the festival. The partners are working together to prepare the festival, which is designed so that events take place throughout the region.

The project received funding from SSNE which is the association of municipalities of Northeast Iceland.
