HEART CONNECTION - when nature captures people

HEART CONNECTION - when nature captures people

THE WINDOW in Brynja's Studio at Akureyrarvaka

The window display HEART CONNECTION is the brainchild of artist Brynja Harðardóttir Tveiten and her sister Áslaug Harðardóttir Tveiten, who runs the antique store Fröken Blómfríður. THE WINDOW depicts a romantic camping trip where the spirit of the past hovers. The purpose of the exhibition is to warm people's hearts, arouse joy and create stories in the minds of those who enjoy it. The exhibition is accessible to passers-by 24 hours a day, where it is enjoyed from the outside.

They prepared their camping trip with precision and care. She gathered what was needed and he packed it neatly. Their silent collaboration was characterized by intimacy and peace.

In a lush meadow, the babbling of a stream and the sound of a brook in the distance can be heard. Washing hangs on a line between two tree branches and flutters slightly. Every now and then, a sudden gust of wind lifts the laundry up and it spreads out like soaring birds in the sky. A red light burns inside a small tent, and from there comes low laughter and clucking. They get ready, spread out sleeping bags, arrange pillows, and take out their camping gear.

The scent of heather and clear mountain air intertwines with the smell of a hearty soup simmering over the fireplace. The soup includes freshly picked potatoes, mushrooms, sedges, and pieces of trout. Next to the fireplace is a flower-decorated bowl of juicy blueberries that promises a delightful moment for dessert.
