To mark Yellow September, a diverse group of organizations in Akureyri are joining forces and inviting everyone to spend a warm and meaningful afternoon together in Kjarnaskógur on Saturday, September 5 at 2:00 PM.
Who’s there for you when times get tough?
The aim of the event is to create a space where we can slow down, connect and enjoy a peaceful moment together, while also raising awareness of the wide range of free services and support available to people in Akureyri and the surrounding area.
The programme includes:
The event is organized by Aflið, Bergið Headspace, Bjarmahlíð, Frú Ragnheiður, Gley Mér Ei, Grófin Geðrækt, Hjálp 48, KAON, Kvennaathvarfið, Píeta and Sorgarmiðstöð, all of which provide free services in Akureyri.
Yellow September is dedicated to raising awareness of mental health and suicide prevention. Through this event, we want to highlight how important it is to know where to turn for support – both for ourselves and for the people around us.
We all need someone who can be there for us.
Who’s there for you? 💛
