Second place in the 2025 Músíktilraunir, J. Bear & the Cubs travel to Akureyri for the first time to play at Græni Hatturinn together with the bands Ka-Oss and Ótími.

J. Bear & the Cubs was formed in February 2025 with the intention of reviving the old songs of Jasper, the band's leader. Charming indie-folk-pop that sets the mood with songs about independence, self-confidence and the world we are forced to live in.

Ótími is a new and fresh alt-rock band from the capital area. Their original songs mix Icelandic lyrics, catchy guitar parts and a cool rhythm section into a sweet, wholesome soundscape that everyone should hear.

Ka-Oss is an indie pop/rock band that plays a variety of original songs in Icelandic and English.
