Karnivala is an annual festival for artists in the Akureyri Art Street and the final event of this year's Art Summer.

For the event, local artists do what they love most and invite everyone to join in. There will be various events on the programme in the Art Street as in previous years;

• The fun begins with a concert by Puruñeka Duo in Deiglan on Friday evening at 19:00

• On Saturday, the trumpets will be blowing, as well as an art and craft market, carnival painting, dance painting, concerts in the Art Street and lots more organised by artists
