Departure at 08.00 by bus or private cars.
Guides: Viðar Sigmarsson and his colleagues from the 24x24 group.
Fee: Members: ISK 3,500, others: ISK 5,000.
Included in the price: Guiding and bus transport.
We drive to Finnastaðir farm south of Akureyri. From there we ascend Kerling, the highest mountain in Eyjafjörður district. Then we walk north across the summits Hverfandi, Þríklakkar, Bóndi, Litli-Krummi, Stóri-Krummi, Syðrisúla og Ytrisúla. Finally we descend into Glerárdalur to the car park at Heimari-Hlífá.
Walking distance: 20 km. Vertical ascent: 1,440 m.
