Krummafótur is a new grassroots performing arts festival held in Akureyri for the first time on the 10.-12. of july.

The aim of the festival is to create a platform for new performing arts pieces, works in progress and independent artistic creation, as well as to strengthen connections between performing artists in North Iceland and elsewhere in the country. The festival places special emphasis on giving young and up-and-coming performing artists the opportunity and a platform to show their work. There is a lack of a grassroots performing arts scene in Akureyri, and the festival's goal is to ignite it.

Performances and works will be shown in Deiglan, Hlaðan, in private homes and all around.
